Nano-Sea is made of seaweed nanocellulose, which is a highly fibrillated cellulose product made by breaking seaweed cellulose down into its smallest components. In water, Nano-Sea forms a hydrogel made of a three-dimensional network of cellulose fibrils. This hydrogel has excellent rheological properties, making it an ideal choice for stabilising suspensions and thickening products where shear thinning is required (e.g. gels that need to be sprayed or pumped). Because of its water holding properties and non-toxic profile, Nano-Sea can also be used in applications such as personal care products, biomedicine, and agriculture.
We are currently in pre-production of our ground-breaking hydrogel. Get in touch to see how you can utilise our technology to enhance your products. Our hydrogel will soon be available in units of 1, 5 & 20kg. Bulk available on request.
Technology transfer is an intrinsic part of the successful development, manufacturing, and commercialization of high value products. Agrisea's biotechnology transfer requires careful planning and evaluation to meet project timelines for scale up and manufacture. Could a facility like ours benefit your existing site and add value to your current system? Talk to us.
We can recover your biomass waste.
Do you produce products from seaweed/algae and have bulk biomass after post-production? At AgriSea we are always looking for innovative ways to re-use materials to create a bio-circular economy.
