What is nanocellulose?
Seaweed Nanocellulose is a type of hydrogel material that is derived from seaweed or algae. Hydrogels are three-dimensional networks of hydrophilic polymers that have the ability to retain large amounts of water. They are commonly used in various applications, including medical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries.
Why seaweed?
Nano-Sea is a biocircular product made from kelp. It is repurposed, regenerative, and remarkable both in its origin and in its potential applications. Unlike wood nanocellulose, Nano-Sea seaweed nanocellulose can be extracted using a green process that avoids the use of toxic chemicals – making it safer for your consumers, and better for the planet.
